Dr. Michael Hawkins

Brooke is a nurse practitioner who has been practicing at the Women’s Health Center of Dickson since 2007. She attended Belmont University to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Upon graduation she began working as a labor and delivery, postpartum and newborn nursery nurse at Tri-Star Horizon Medical Center. Brooke quickly realized her love of caring for women and decided to become a nurse practitioner and focus on women’s health. She again graduated from Belmont University, receiving a Master of Nursing Practice and later returned to complete her Doctorate of Nursing Practice.

 

Brooke has two children with her husband, Dr. Michael Hawkins, and is a step mother to his oldest daughter. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, crafting, and cooking. She is from Waverly, Tennessee, and is dedicated to providing quality care to women of this community.

Dr. Hawkins opened the Women’s Health Center of Dickson in 2001 and has practiced in Dickson County since 1996. He received his Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University. Dr. Hawkins then attended medical school at Emory University from which he graduated in 1991. During his medical school rotations he developed a passion for obstetrics and gynecology, leading him to residency at Vanderbilt University which he completed in 1995. Dr. Hawkins is proud to have served the community for over 30 years as an OB/GYN. He has dedicated his life to maintaining and sustaining the Labor and Delivery unit at Tri-Star Horizon, where he has served as Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Chief of Staff, and Surgical Department Chairman.


Dr. Hawkins has three children, whom he delivered at Tri-Star Horizon, and is married to Brooke Hawkins. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and working on his farm.

Dr. Scott Hays grew up in England and Germany in a military family. He completed medical school in Erie, Pennsylvania at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by internship and residency at the University of South Carolina. He moved to Tennessee to be closer to his family and has loved serving the Dickson community since January of 2025.

In his free time he enjoys camping, hiking, and visiting historic places (especially a good Civil War battlefield!). Dr. Hays has a daughter (a.k.a. hiking buddy) whom he adores, as well as a menagerie of animals, including the office fish.
